The Shrine of Our Lady of Peace Hrasno

Nestled halfway between Mostar and Dubrovnik, Hrasno is a hidden gem in the northern part of Neum. This tranquil region, perched at an elevation of 250 to 430 meters, has been inhabited since prehistoric times and is rich in history and spirituality.

At the heart of Hrasno, surrounded by pines and linden trees, stands the Shrine of Our Lady of Peace, established on May 8, 1977. This sacred place offers comfort and peace to pilgrims, with nature’s silence only occasionally interrupted by the whisper of the wind through the trees.

On second Sunday in May, pilgrims from across Herzegovina gather here to honor the Queen of Peace and seek spiritual solace. In these quiet moments, where nature’s beauty meets prayer, Hrasno becomes not only a historical but also a spiritual sanctuary for the soul.
